Located at the gateway of Napa Valley, along its main artery, Highway 29, Ashes & Diamonds Winery’s mid-century approach extends to its architecture. As an homage, the iconic zig-zag roof and portholes are a few of the iconic references to the heritage of California's mid-century modern design, seamlessly integrated with a state-of-the-art wine production facility surrounded by light, airy landscapes and playful, rolling berms.
Ashes & Diamonds Winery is the ultimate convergence of modern and old-school flavors, committed to offering a wide-ranging group of wines that adhere to an ethos of light-handed winemaking and transparency of terroir.
“A&D VINEYARD” is located at the Ashes & Diamonds estate in the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley. Its alluvial soils derived from volcanic and marine sediments washed down from the Mayacamas Mountains into gravelly clay loam. Oak Knoll’s lingering morning fog and afternoon sea breezes support a moderate growing season favoring temperance over heat spikes.
Aged 10 months in French oak, 30% of it new, it is sublime and racy, tasting of candied lemon with lasting freshness and complexity. Ashes & Diamonds Blanc is a fully ripe and textured, yet bright, zesty, and supremely age-worthy blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon from three carefully-chosen vineyards in Napa Valley’s Oak Knoll District and Yountville.
